I need to possibly replace my tyres before the event. Any suggestions?

Currently running crossmax on the back and Bontrager on front.

I rode Jozi2Kozi on rocket rons and racing ralphs no problems or punctures for seven days.

Bike booked in today for a full service. I know its early, but having everything done / checked now rather (shock, pivots, tyres, stans, cables, brake bleed, brake pads, small blade, casette, chain, BB, headset, hubs, wheels trued.

I will be doing most of my weekday training on my CX bike and do some technical riding over weekends. Should get the bike back on Friday, so 3 weeks before I need to taper. That would be 20 hours on the CX bike and 10 hours on the mtb, so everything should be nice and crisp for W2W [emoji3]

Hi guys. My teammate and I are doing the race for the first time as well. We are from Upington and decided to treat our wife's and take them along. Well as it worked out they will not accompany us.

 

Do you know if we can still get tented accommodation?

 

Maybe someone wants to sell there places in the race village tents.

Hi Domestique, as far as I know the tented accommodation for riders is included in the package. Drop a mail to the organisers - there is a different email for each event on the website.

Can anyone tell me if there is a bike wash service (free) at the Race Village or do you have to book and pay with one of the bike shops doing support?

You get to wash your own bike for free, and stand the queue to get the hosepipe.

 

Do yourself a favour and book a mechanic, a few are advertising in the classifieds. Was a lifesaver for us after last years adventure mudfest.

Does anybody know what colour the men's jacket is this year? I see on FB W2W posted the ladies jacket which is black.  Really hope the men's jacket is a different colour! No point in having 2 identical jackets in my cupboard

 

Edit:  Ok its black, was hoping for blue or something. Oh well, cant wait for the race!
