Just checked now and not there yet. Let's give them a day or so.

Just out of interest sake the reason I sent them the email was because I could not get the photos to open when I entered my details.

They replied if one is trying to get photos for Curro college, Pioneer run and one of the Dual X events that won't work because those photos weren't allocated to race numbers etc.

Huh. . I had distance of 79 . something km and 730m (I think) of ascending. . Weird either you or I got lost ;)

Added my bryton does mess around from time to time

I got 85.24 km 764 m, maybe you had the good sense to give that silly back&forth-a-100-times Quad track a miss before the Sorry koppie?

Overall we had a great weekend in Parys.

I did the Ultra on Saturday. The changes to the route was very welcome and the ride was exactly what I expected. The waterpoints was stocked with what I needed(bananas and water) and there was ice available at every water table which was a life saver. I eventually finished the Ultra in 5h40.

I did the Half marathon on Sunday and again it was exactly as expected. Flat and Fast. There was really only 1 water point on the half which was a bit disappointing. My legs started to talk back about half way through the race, and I got home in 1h55.

The vibe in Parys is always great and I will definitely be back next year!!!

Did the Marathon and it was as expected. Maybe to much tar road but I was grateful for it as I was seriously unprepared. Only complaint I Have is that stupid zig-zag quad bike track piece that was put in before the last water point? Those little kicks finished me off properly.

No.. sadly I didn't skip that.. still had a conversation with a guy that was cramping more than me about how pointless that was.

Reckon my Bryton was just messing around

I did the 80 and must say that I enjoyed it. My first crater cruise and it was fun. I didn't expect lots of singletrack or massive climbs so the race lived up to expectation. I did enjoy the piece of singletrack next to River though. The race was also a lot more scenic than I expected.

Dropped from A batch to E to ride with 2 mates who ended up baling at the 55km mark. Rode an easy pace up to there and then gunned it home when I rode alone. Riders were battling at the back of the race.

I'll be back. The family enjoyed Parys, race was fun. Successful weekend!

My Bryton also ended on 79.8km. I reckon that is closer to the "official distance" than 85km.

My first crater cruise.

That's the bumpiest race I have ever done. Forearms got a proper workout there.

I will be back for the next one.

I ordered those MTN socks and got hot foot with 15 km's to go. It started off with my right foot but by the time I finished it was in both feet.

This seems to happen with thicker socks. Doesn't happen with thinner socks. Had the same thing with the Cullinan Trailseeker. Also wore thicker socks there. No more. Is it my shoes?

I also rode with those socks and had exactly the same thing. Haven't had it in a very long time.
