So after an eventful Saturday afternoon and night first with "George" and later calling "Louis", what are the medical interventions, remedies or "boereraad" utilized to manage an acute episode of throwing up. I am not referring to a case of over indulgence of the high octane fluid type.

Here was my latest treatment protocol after the first kneeling session:

1. 250ml water with Rehidrate (stayed in 30min)

2. 125ml Coke (stayed in 45min)

3. Hot bath and sleep (2 hours)

4. Rehidrate again (stayed in 15min)

5. Flat Coke and water 250ml (stayed in 30min) - repeated this twice

6. Nursed a double tot whisky (JW Black) - stayed in 30min

7. Hot bath and off to bed.

8. Consumed flat Coke and water in very small amounts through the night - did not do any ab exercises in front of the toilet though.

Feeling better now but a bit drained. Tea and toast for breakfast.

What other treatmemt methods have guys used, just short of reporting to the Local hospital's ER (experienced this a few years ago after unintentionally consuming a very dodgy salad from Woolies).

For babbelas (I know you dont have one) I drink creme soda or lemon twist. If you have stomach trouble get some pine apple. Get a powerade and a valoid for the naar. If you cant keep it in for longer than 30 minutes then you must go for the "rocket ron" shape and knock on the back door, but seriously try and keep the tablet in

Nausea is a symptom and not a disease. This means the treatment depends on what is causing it.

Some random facts:

Maxolon is a reasonable starting point.

Some pregnant fairies swear that ginger helps.

Small sips/volumes irritate less than big servings.

Zol is a very good anti-emetic.

Cramps and diarhea mostly indicates gastro-enteritis.

Many causes - if you dont get better quickly you must get a pro opinion.

Lastly: It does wonders for power to weight ratio on the bike...

Almost back to 240V......but the strange thing is that there were no cramps or diarrhoea.......just couldn't keep anything down. After every "curl and twist" session things felt fine, just for a cold sweat to set in after a few minutes and then the whole thing repeats itself.

Magie was seker maar net bedonnerd.

Like the last point on the power to weight ratio........have seen a few riders trying that stunt DURING races......

I usually just give kids Enos/citrusoda as a first dose and then Energade. If they are not significantly improved after 4 hours, then they get treated symptomatically - I also always recommend weighing them immediately you can after throwing up/diarrhoea - especially if it looks like its going to be sustained - then I have a good baseline to easily follow dehydration levels - over 5% and then you are probably going to need professional care - this is not a lot of fluid loss in a little kid - happens quickly.
