Do you wear underpants or a leather thong.

You know the answer to your question, the fact that you are too scared to pm. me shows that you have a hidden agenda.

Secondly, I have expressed absolutely no negativity to any brand in this thread, merely price and value.

If I was a underwear retailer selling leather thongs, that question would be relevant. But I'm not. You sell bikes and we are talking bikes. I have zero reason to PM you. Your opinions here are in public, the fact that you refuse to answer the question in public shows you have a hidden agenda.

I am not having a go at you, but if you sell Spez or not really does make a difference as to how valid your opinion is here. If you did not sell bikes, purely because of your experience your opinion will hold a lot of value. But as soon as you have a vested interest in the topic that is being discussed, obviously it makes a difference. It's not personal.

Ps: as a side note, stop personally attacking those with opposing opinions, calling people trolls, saying they are scared of you,or saying they are children doesn't really add to the debate.

Wow, so it's not personal for you then I guess. Or are you just trolling?

I used a car example, you threw your panties in the air about people using car examples. I responded that people should leave this thread to those that want to read about the bike. You tell me to get manners because you don't like my statement.

Don't be such a hypocrite cowboy.

You know a lot about bikes, you seem to know very little about healthy debate.

I'm going to go ride my a Epic on the spruit now. You can continue with your childish behaviour and superior attitude on a MTB thread.

True that .

Do they have a frameset only option, wondering if the sum of the parts add up to the complete retail price?

I would guess that you could build a more reasonably priced top spec option for a lot less, different forks, wheels, finishing kit...

It's still an awesome bike, if I had the cash to splash, why NOT?

Let me ask you once more, a question you are avoiding, which shows a hidden agenda.

What has what I sell got to do with my comments in this thread ?

All my comments have been neutral with no bias or negativity towards any particular brand.

The relevance to what I sell has no bearing on my comments, you know that and it's open for all to see.

You seem to want to drag something in to the public spotlight, what that is I have no idea.

Lastly I am posting here as a hubber and not as retailer, anyone here who knows me will tell you that I never punt or market myself as a retailer, I don't pay for advertising on this site and as a result of that I am just another hubber, yes I happen to have a hub profile, but it's not a free ticket to abuse the forum for what it is.

What I do in my life has absolutely nothing to do with you or anyone else around here, I have reported you for baiting and as usual this is turning in to an unnecessary slugfest, I just hope that Admin will see it for what it is.

I sent you a pm. you are ignoring that, goes to show that you actually have a plan here.

35k frame only I seem to remember. And yeah. That's the way I'd go if getting a camber or enduro

I could get a 2014 S-works Epic for R50 000. that includes the front shock, and the carbon seatpost. Which actually isnt too bad.

specialized south africa did not offer us the frame only options of the camber and stumpjumper. Also the evo models were not available to us. Dont know why.

Johnny, I know this is about S-Works and the new bike, but lets see what one can get for a lot less.

FSR, the patent Specialized own, Fact carbon technology, the S-Works uses Fact 10,11,12 or whatever carbon for the current year.

Now let's take the comp carbon.

Allo rear stays that weigh a little, not much more than carbon stays, carbon front triangle, same geometry, same FSR and brain.

Yes the S-Works has all the top end components, yes it's a light bike and as I said a real work of art.

But we take R 50 K and for 20 or 30 more you can buy another model that actually reaches 90 % of what the S-Works has on offer.

To be honest (and yes I know I will get flamed for this) too often people get carried away with image.

actually I replied to your PM, but ok. I would post a screenie here but I have been warned about that before, Where I asked you the exact same thing as here, and also stated it's not personal. But ok, report me, I'm sure Admin will see it for what it is after your very rude posts to various people.

Post a screenie, it's the ethical thing to do.

With SSpecialized's shitty attitude and tendency to sue anyone they can in the cycling industry this thing could be made out of pixie ****, priced at R200k and I would still never consider buying it - if I DID have the money! ;-)

You are right, and thats why I bought the Marathon version. Its still expensive R75k, but i think its the best one in the range.

I don't really think you would really get away much cheaper unless you drop the quality of components by a lot or have some components already that you can use. But I found that buying separate components are to expensive if you buying at full retail.

I do agree Marathon is best top end bike value for money in the Spec range ........ BUT damn the World Cup is nice.

I was quite happy with the value of the Elite. Only real difference is carbon wheels on the marathon (and possibly alu rear stays). Otherwise it has both brains and XO groupset. At about 55k it is manageable.

But if money was no option, I would have gone s-works.
