Yes, the event start from the end of the parking lot and finishes in front of the main gate (taking things from last year). Your family receives free access to Sun City and the Valley for the day and you would park at the normal day visitor parking.

I've been reading the instructions like my backside, only saw no that the MTB is 2 loops rather than a larger single loop. Not my preference but at least now we can do the 2 hills twice (I might have to take my walking shoes along)

It was not 2 loops the last few years. Where did you see that?

Pic of the route on the website. On the hotel side the 30 is same as 25 except for 2 extra hills. On other side of tar is just a short stretch. Then repeat :-(

last year this race was my first one in the A Cat, so I got dropped after the little hill

Hopefully things will go better this year.

staying at sundawn ranch hotel. But the reviews I am reading now is not looking good.

Ive used N4 lodge before, nothing fancybut all you need for a night over.

Stayed a few times at the Rundown Ranch and the most noticeable thing is the twins who used to be duty managers looked like The Proclaimers. It's fine, if a bit tired, and full of cyclists over that weekend, so I hope you have a good time.
