Ok, memory is going,

Can't remember under which circumstances each of the better perform better.

Please educate.

Resin don't last in wet weather.

Sintered metal: last the longest. most durable under all conditions. In my experience, works just fine in wet or dry. less bite than resin pads

Resin/organic pads: better bite than sintered metal pads. Very short lifespan in muddy conditions which are generally very abrasive to all moving components with close tolerances.

Don't use resin in rain or mud as they will be gone very quickly.

Resin bites better but they also fade more as they cant dissipate heat as well.

SO if you are doing muddy wet downhills don't use resin...

If you running shimano remember to check that you have the right rotors.

AFAIK shimano rotors are pad specific i.e. Resin or metal

Low end Shimano rotors specify resin only. The rest can use either.

Not sure why though.

I use RT86 Ice Tech rotor's on both my wheel sets.

Just saw the old/spare pads I got is F01A's which are Resin based, so will use them the winter, where it is mostly dry and then as it starts getting wet switch back to Sintered pads.
