Feels a little like Voortrekker Monument bit with the odd technical descent thrown in. It's about 13km with about 300m of climbing and a lot of single track. Well worthwhile.

Not my fav track... Too short, groenies is better.

I went there for the first time on Saturday and have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Lots of single track and a few technical sections throwing it! A very good work out if you push it hard!

R30 for day entry. Open on Sat and Sun. Route about 12km. Take N1 come off at Rigel (Defence HQ turn off). Drive towards Erasmus Castle. Turn left (north) at first traffic lights (towards SITA) Turn left at next traffic lights (with SAMHS HQ on left) Drive to end of road.

Took my wife there this morning - she's not too keen on technical riding, so the ride was cut short after she had a small tumble.

 

The trails are quite tight and twisty, but a lot of fun! Will definitely go back to get a better feel of the place.

Best place to learn how to do the tough stuff......hospital ER is walking distance away.
