There is one benefit to having wandering eyes. Research studies performed with men have shown that staring at attractive women increases your testosterone. When men attended a gentleman's club, their testosterone increased by 36 per cent.

so basically drink and be merry - just go and visit a few peep shows every month and you sorted...or maybe he should be talking to mousesa/queen bee for a threesome :whistling:

Holy mackerel, OK we all concede.

He got a slap tjop from dop.

Brandon, please stop drinking any alcohol from immediate effect and start snorting honey.

Please note, only fancy packaged honey in a rebranded butter container will do the job.

you are too funny... Seems like there is some humor on the hub... I promise I am not an alcoholic... I hardly ever drink but normally come month of November in a pro riders off season, he has to catch up for all the lost drinking time.

I haven't had to attend AA meetings and I tried for 6 months to use natural products and legal supplements and nothing worked well enough to fix the condition...

We are human and sometimes to make mistakes. Those mistakes are highlighted a lot more because in the public eye... But hey at least I didn't shoot or harm anyone...

Ohh but we should rather trust what you say/read?

Medical journals have been wrong in the past, but so has Huffpost (sorry AS). Lets hope doc Swart cares to comment sometime in the future. He has access to better resources than what I have and has some expertise on the subject unlike myself.

Thanks Brandon. I definitely have more compassion for your situation. I don't know if you mentioned this to SAIDS in your TUE application or your hearing, but do so in your appeal if its not too late. It may assist with mitigating your 'sentence'.

just because you are a sportsman or race a bike doesn't mean you should have to hand in your personality when you sign a contract... I wanted our team to be seen as nice guys that are approachable to the general public and willing to have acouple beers with guys and a chat... It's you guys that gives reason for pros to be sponsored...

But you have fun... It's to much fun

You hide away then you labelled arrogant...

It's hard to find a middle ground... After some abuse here I might be forced into buying a milk stout court... They say good for Iron levels and blood and good for testo hence my added consumption...

Are there non medical ways to treat low testosterone

Yes - there are lifestyle changes that sometimes improve the situation - stress management, alcholhol avoidance etc.

Does alcohol use aggravate the condition?

Yes - long term alchohol abuse is associated - I don't believe that low dosages play a significant role.

What role does other lifestyle challenges like stress / poor nutrition etc play and what would be to most effective non medical way to treat these 'secondary' causes.

Unless a lifestyle factor is the root cause of low levels, then changing lyfstyle factoers is unlikely to to have enough impact to alleviate the problem.

Would he have prescribed medical treatment under the conditions claimed/described.

If his levels were/are as low has he has stated, then yes, medical treatment is indicated.

Would he have advised an athlete to proceed with treatment before receiving his TUE in writing.

I won't comment on what Dr Swart would say, but I will say this - I have filled in the TUE documentation many time (> 10) for patients, and I have NEVER seen a TUE document come back to the patient - medically speaking, if the condition the patient suffers from is treatable, then they must be treated - and I would never advise a patient to wait for a document before starting treatment - I suspect there might well be a malpractice suite waiting if one were to do that under certain circumstances.

By BS not receiving a TUE, could we expect consistent rulings regarding Testosterone TUE's in future.

In theory, all TUE's requested should be processed consistently.

My personal opinion on this:

1 - If BS's levels are/were what he says they are, then a case for medical treatment exists.

2 - If BS wanted to cheat, then they way he went about it is not the way to do it - there are other "better" ways to cheat, and publishing what you are taking on a drugs test form is a sure fire way to be tested.

3 - I suspect that there are issues around the processing of TUE requests and the actions of it's staff members that urgently need to be addressed by the body responsible.

4 - Whether or not BS attempted to cheat or not is between himself and his god, and I for one will not be his judge or executioner.

On a personal note, I wish Brandon and especially his family well into the future, and hope they manage to overcome this - the road ahead will be hard.

Dude.... Beer is considered a recovery drink in the gravity circles. I challenge you to take a pit walk after a regional/national DH event and find a USN shaker filled with a protein enriched recovery drink.

I did in my hearing and my approach to try be honest and upfront counted for nothing not even a 6 month reduction nothing... SAIDS actually said because I put my story in the media. I made them look incompetent and they said the case was now personal...

Not about doping but to make an example that's all I thought was unfair.. I deserved the pushiment, but I was harshly prosecuted for some wrong reasons... That's all really...
