we all use gels and things because we believe it is safe to use during a race. I am sure some people take pain killers, anti inflam and anti cramp stuff. Are these not performance enhancing?

If we knew we could take other drugs to make us faster and stronger for longer and they were as SAFE as gels would we not take these ?

Agreed

The biggest problem is the people who use it then get caught deny deny deny when everyone knows whats going on. If you get caught just own up and take the punishment. there is only one way a test will show positive, and thats if there is something in the wee wee.

In this game if you roll the dice you pay the price. If you get caught dont waste their time, just admit and take it like a man.

Even though FL jokes about it, that may be the answer regards current sponsors turning their backs from the sport. The drug companies would get involved, and believe me they have the money. The governing bodies could get involved by receiving a percentage of the sponsor agreements by allowing this, increasing their coffers. This in turn could be used to test and regulate the junior field where doping needs to be controlled. What you want to do from your 20's upwards to your body is up to you.

If the gels and other "Hype"  OTC  products did infact had any enhancing effects other than what we "think / they tell us" they have they would be band.

as i understand it .. doping is banned cause it is not safe for your general health...wellmore like your immediate health.

if doping was legal much much much more money would be thrown at making them safer and thus better for all to use.

the problem lies more with the cutting edge drugs that they are not really sure about what would happen.

I mean be real if you used gels in the Tour de France 50 yrs ago i am sure you would have been banned for life (well they would have to catch you first).

But if they were safe, we would take them.

Unhappyhave to go chase debtors now .....Unhappy

just so we clear I dont think doping should be allowed - but this must be balanced against reality.
