Yeah, agreed Dips, but the same oke who would have picked it up to later return this would have seen posts here and come straight out with it...

If the guy was thinking of returning it, and then thought "nah, fuggit I'll just keep it" then, well... yeah.

you'll be surprised what a small percentage of cyclists are aware of or or able to tolerate the hub. Donw here in KZN cyclists that hub must be less than 2%

Sorry, meant to say the okes who picked it up, if reading this, and if they were going to return it would have returned it even if it was listed as stolen.

The okes that saw this thread (and the ones on FaceBroek) and picked it up, only to see the threads and say "fuggit, I'll keep it" would have been the ones keeping it anyway.

I know that MANY people on here, and FB, if they had picked it up and found that the owner had thought it was stolen, would have said "I have it" as soon as possible.

The more I think of this. A bike falls off your car, you are travelling at relative speed. A fellow motorist waves you down . Finding that exact spot where it fell off could be quite challenging. Would be sad if this poor girl is lying under a bush next to the road.

The reason I said stolen is because it was such short time between me turning around and getting back to the spot where the bike fell off its very likely that the guy who took it probably saw it come off my trailer otherwise I would have been back in time to see them putting it in their car. Secondly it's not like they hung around for bit to see if I came back.

And they haven't taken it to a police station.

Hopefully I'm wrong and it'll turn up but it's not looking good. I will happily apologise if I am wrong and get my bike back

My bike was a large so its not the one on olx but thanks for posting that.

Unfortunately the person who stopped me explained exactly where it was and we walked up and down the area for quite a while. It definitely wasn't there.

You must be bloody heartbroken. IMHO picking up the bike and not taking it to the nearest cop shop is theft. You know it isn't yours. No excuses.
