It was actually quite a funny call as they kept trying to get me to call racetec to get an answer, went something like this. "Sir, you need to call racetec to get the entry date", my response "okay thanks, I understand that, can you just tell me what is your role in the race", her response "we are the management company that run the race".... I am sure you can guess how the rest of the call went, ended up leaving a message for the manager to call me.

Read their mail on Monday stating that entries and subs are closed. She followed up and OOPS SORRY WE ARE CLOSED. Mailed Race tec Automatic response. Mailed PPA sorry closed no new entries. Tried to explain the situation again sorry closed. Explained that its not a new entry, that they just need to type my details in the place of the other rider. Again sorry closed. Damn, why can we then enter/sub at most other PPA/Racetec races on the day of the race.

It baffles me as to how they cannot set a date weeks in advanced, and not advertise an entry fee. If some PPA races that I entered run a small scale event, the cycle tour trust should have enough experience to have things like this sorted already well in advanced.

It is physically impossible for them to pick you out. You obtained the sticker in a legal fashion. There is no extra cost you are making them incure. Done deal

Breezer Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Something is not right at racetec. The java mtb resutlts is a big screw up and after many mails I still have no reply from them. I am a member of ppa just for the timing, but at this rate I wont join again.

They have a notice to say" Entries has NOT opened yet!Please check the website during the course of next week for more information about opening dates and times." This was last week that they put the notice on. So is it this week or next week?

Johny Bravo Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I remember when I was a laaitie at school, it was still called the Burger/ Sanlam. Sold out every year, was a great great event. Not this watered down kuk we have now. So dissapointing.
