Yep. I think Kiriyenka going to take it. No biggie for GC he is 1hour 42 minutes down

Yeah. Just refering to the tough TT stage podium.

At the moment they saying Aru is 1:45 down on Contador. Not sure that's accurate or where or how it was measured.

CN's got the gap as being 3:12 between Berto and Aru thanks to GPS readings. Either way Berto will be back in the race lead tonight.

I'd be very surprised if a top World Tour pro will ever be seen 'giving up' if a race doesn't go their way. They would never have made it to where they are today if they had an attitude like that. That's not in their nature. Besides that, consider that they're also just one cog in the team cassette. They've got team obligations. And then there's also the bigger picture in terms of sponsor obligations, race organisers, etc. They can't just quit. They'll keep riding until someone has to physically pull them off their bike. That's how it's always been And if someone does just quit like that, he'll lose the respect of his team and the rest of the peloton as well. And me too.

Porte is injured. I think the decision will be made based on what is required by the Sky team leading up to the Tour. Guess it depends on how badly hurt he is and the required recovery. I can't see him leaving for any other reason.

Aru riding his heart and soul out. Gotta give him that. Spirited ride.

Tough guy this one. He's giving it a good go but on the receiving end of a GC racing lesson from AC.

Agreed. They'll make a decision based on injury/illness (and time needed to recover fully in time for the TDF in 5 weeks), not because the race just isn't going his way.

Sorry Jaco-Fiets. That's it from me. I won't speak about him again, I promise.

Edit: From now, he is "the man who shall not be named".

Back to the winner: a very popular win for "Robocop".

Awesome to see someone like him get some glory after a selfless career as rouleur-domestique.
