none bladed carbon forks

Ritchey WCS is a thing of beauty but quite expensive.

I also had a Exotic Carbon rigid fork was Nice. I had the 26" fork and could run a 29er wheel in it too. Was ok but sold it once I got the Niner carbon fork.

Sprocket and Jack in Parkwood has one at the moment. I think Grant is bringing them in.

Any idea on how many Randela's?

I seem to remember it being cheaper than what I paid for my Niner RDO fork, about R5000. I'll PM you his contact details.

I seem to remember the Ritchey being cheaper, but only by a little. I guess its a premium product in a niche market, so we have to pay for the privilege......

So steel is not just real, but also real cheap in comparison ..... prices for lekker bike stuff makes my wife reel when I pass things by her, they are really expensive.

Granted it is a niche product, a weak rand and good quality workmanship and materials

Yip. You can pick up a steel frame for that sort of price.

BUT

After seeing JC's video, I'm really glad my Niner fork has the capability to shrug off that sort of treatment.

Do you want a straight or tapered steerer?

I have an On*One carbon race 29er fork tapered carbon steerer, but its cut too short ( 160mm) for my current steel frame. It is a lot more aggressive/low than the Niner and should work well on a 26er or for a shorter rider on a 29er.

I would highly recommend the carbon forks , as the low weight makes for nimble handling and precise steering and they soak up a lot of trail chatter.

haha even got an email from Chris the president of niner saying,

"Jacques,

Great video, glad that everything held together. That's certainly not what we had planned for that fork but thanks for the independent testing, we've all enjoyed it.

You got an email from Mr. Sugai himself? That's pretty sweet!
