Guys, I wanted to check if someone maybe found an easy way to fix spandex riding shorts? I got myself quite an expensive bib and over the weekend het ek my moer suur geval. I managed to get a stick to pierce my shorts, whilst trying to not to die as I fell on a rock garden (who leaves a stick on a rock garden and why is my grammar so bad?)

I reckon needle and thread is not gonna cut it....or will it just cut it further?

Cheers and thanks

pulling on my qualified tailor certificate that i never use here ...

grab a piece of lycra or similarly stretch fabric - make a patch over the entire hole, use tight zig zag stitch and run it over a number of times - for comfort sake you'll want the patch on outside -for aesthetics - on the insider.

*disclaimer .... have never tried it... use advice at own risk

Where is the hole?

Could be quite handy if you need to pee in a hurry ?

Get someone to run Zig Zag stitches for you it will do the trick

Unfortunately the hole will only work for a number 2, but only if i crap at a angle.

Ride the shorts like that. Your opponents will know that you are tough and will fear you. Chicks will know that you are a guy who eats dirt and gets up to fight another day. They will love you.

Ya bru.... In a perfect world. Unfortunately riding at the back doesn't really give you much of a chance of the other guys seeing the hole in your pants and regarding the chicks.... Im already married and trying to impress her... Well that ship has sailed long time ago

How about using some nice wide Elastoplast?  That's better than Duct tape because it's stretchy. And it's water proof according to the package label.

Put it on the inside if you're vain, outside if you want comfort.

Wear buggies over that pant. Not to hide the hole or your shame, but to show that you are a "real mtber" and like to descend with gusto, or something like that.
