I'm A3, think that would be good enough to beat most of the bottle necks.

I was in A3 last year.  We had a bad bottleneck at the jail, but the rest was mostly smooth going.  I'm in A8 this year, though, so I'm expecting a sloooow ride.

A1 thankfully. Hope the orgy nisers listened to complaints last year....

Um no......., they took about 2500 + entries for the 55 km (i guess , please correct me if i m wrong) and the only way this will work realistically is if it is a 6 lane road all the way.

Hope the guys at the back have patience in buckets. At least they will be able to enjoy the view of the sewage pipe. Its very pretty. Ask anyone who lives in Dainfern.

I will do my best to stay out of everybody's way but I am not keen on breaking a hip in the process. Last year I was properly bashed up from the W2W the week before and was in the red for most of the time. It got me into C at the Argus though. A1 start.

I see this as "work". It is the week after W2W so I normally still have some skills and legs left. I have generated some good seeding for the Argus from this in the past . Fun it is not.

EDIT: Post came through 2h after written.

Just collected my race pack for Sunday. Had a read through the booklet and it seems that the [edit: 55km] route will be primarily through Northern Farm.

Apparently, it's a bit of a straight shot through Steyn City, past Heron Bridge and then into NF.

The 55km and 30km races are on different routes. As far as I know, they were on the same route the previous years, splitting somewhere. So hopefully this will help with bottlenecks... Also in A8, but this is only my second race ever, so no seeding to go by.

The 30km route heads to Leeuwkop, where the race was held last year.

I'm also in A8 (only second event - so also no seeding index for me) and I genuinely hope there aren't any crazy bottlenecks.

Also hope the bottlenecks are ok. Want to get my seeding up for next year

I reckon the Funride World Champs are then the wrong event then for a Racing Snake like you. Shirley there must be other events for seeding?

Hahah I am new to racing (and cycling). :P Will definitely be doing other events next year for better seeding. Not doing this race for the seeding, this will only be my second event ever. Just want to get a decent time so that I can start in abetter group next year and hopefully beat the heat and bottlenecks. I'm not planning on a top 10 finish, but would still like to finish with a respectable time ^_^

Well you go then! Next year try and do a few more other events inorder to improve your start, but don't forget to enjoy yourself in the process.
