Alp d'Huez Baby!

The fans have been camped out on that mountain for days now, partying all night and sleeping where they fall. Famous for the mad Dutch fans who have claimed the mountain as their own, also just as famous as a 'party mountain' that goes on literally for days over the TDF. For some, the riders eventually coming up the mountain is just some interesting side action as part of the big show.

Every year, estimates are that there around 500,000 people on that iconic climb. Yip, half a million people on one mountain pass. Many of them blind drunk by the time the riders hit the slopes (I really hope they make all make it through without incident today - especially the poor Sky boys).

Some footage of what the nigh-time partying looks like in the days before the TDF arrives:

Just noticed we are being eskommed from 16h00 - 18h30. So no watching TdF drama on the Alpe d'Huez, and no Rugga either.

Download the supersport app.. do it , do it now.

I'm off to a brain and then the rugby. Going to be cold in that stadium but I'm super excited and looking forward to it.

I will PVR the tour Eskom willing. Try and watch it after walk the talk tomorrow. Next year I must mark the Tour on my calendar. Had far too much going on this year.

How can you say this so calmly?? The useless cadres running Eskom piss me off even when we're eskommed and we're not at home!
