No matter what the angle is, whether he's time trialing or riding the cobbles, or just rolling through the start/finish area, I feel I'm watching physical cycling perfection. Power combined with a certain grace and style that only one other rider can match IMHO: Tommeke. Yeah, I got a 'man crush' on those two :).

When those two are gone in a year or two, there's going to be a hole in cycling that no-one will be able to fill. The end of an era - and I will feel like something has been lost.

So nice to see the increase of little South African flavours creeping into le Tour this year.

Dimesion Data in charge of all the IT logistics

Most riders we have ever had in the tour in a single year

Our own team in the tour (and, no, it's not registered in the UK)

I have also see our flag flying high more this year than any other.

Seated sprint!

Of the first 4 riders, Cancellara (TFR) had the highest speed in the sprint finish with a speed of 69.16 km/hr

If you look at the earlier pics of where he started and where he finished I reckon he could've won if he had a straight run-in. Albeit that has to be offset by having "shelter" behind Greipel and Sagan when he had to come around behind them.

"....It's common saying that the Tour de France is a classic every day. It's even truer this year. After a day of crosswinds and echelons in Holland, which has certainly affected some riders' physique, stage 3 features one of the most stunning finishes of the Spring classics. Starting in Antwerp, the race ends up atop the Mur de Huy. It's the home of the Flèche wallonne since 1983. The Chemin des Chapelles – its real name – is a 1.3km long climb with an average gradient of 9.6% and a maximum of 19%. It's the perfect location for a thrilling finale but most of the drama is expected to happen earlier on. Positioning before the côte d'Ereffe, whose summit is 16.5km ahead of the finishing line, will be the key for not losing time in Huy. After losing 1.28 to Chris Froome and 1.24 to Alberto Contador and Tejay van Garderen, the likes of Vincenzo Nibali, Nairo Quintana and Thibaut Pinot have the possibility to make it up. A specialist like Alejandro Valverde, Joaquim Rodriguez or Michael Albasini is also likely to emerge for a stage victory of a very high value. Leaving the Netherlands, a Dutchman might finally enjoy the yellow jersey as Tom Dumoulin is supposely a better climber than Fabian Cancellara and Tony Martin...."

I Hope so!

But don't write off Sagan, If Domoulin also gets dropped Sagan could take Yellow and White

Ag I'm kinda happy for Fabulous, seems like it could be his last TDF so maybe nice for him to wear Yellow one last time.. heavens I just don't have much faith in his team to help keep that yellow jersey.

Yesterday confirmed what I have always thought... Cavendish is a selfish knob!

Here he b*tched and moaned about how Team Sky didn't help him while he was there, but yesterday when all he had to do was lunge for the line to give his team mate the yellow jersey, he basically sat up.

THAT SAID, I'm glad he is a selfish knob, as Spartacus is an absolute legend and I'm delighted to see him in yellow for the 29th time!

Sagan and Valverde have the same problem though... protecting their GC men. So hopefully the stage goes smoothly and come the time he'll be able to try go for it.

I think Nibs is going to try get time back today.

I can't remember. Which spring classics quintanna attempted to ride this yr, I know he battled his behind off though. He is going to have a tough couple of days.

If Spartacus' team can help him hold onto it today then there's gonna be big sparks tomorrow! You gotta favour him for tomorrow's stage regardless of having yellow or not!
