taito Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 You don't need a seconds vehicle to do the race,plan your boxes and go go go. if you wanna hug mommy then yes ,if you wanna race under 12 hours don't worry about a back up. the first time you can get to your vehicle is at Pakhuis that's about 50 k from the end. Rather meet them in Humansdorp.

I'm on a 42/34/22 11/36, and my partner is on a 46/34/22 11/36 (that 46 brings tears to my eyes - I hate to think how the 1x11 guys must feel!)44/32/22 11/36 here. First 100km of Baviaans there is no better choice, especially if there is the usual tailwind.

Rather meet them in Humansdorp.Nobody seems to be answering my question. Is it not part of the race rules that you must have a support vehicle at checkpoint 5 and 7? If they are not there and they don't get their control card stamped, your team will be penalized?

I'm sure someone on here would know for certain..

I'm sure someone on here would know for certain..That would be great, would love to do this without having to let my wife wait in sub 5 degree temperatures for us to arrive at who knows what time in the middle of the night.
