Who rides with a first aid kit on rides; races or commutes, and what do you have in the kit? Do you carry basics with you and have a bigger kit in the car, or one kit only?

Recently went overboard on this. I ride with a basic cape union mart hard shell first aid kit in my camelback. Some tweesers, gloves, plasters, alcohol swabs, bit of gauss. Then i add 2 pressure bandages. In my car ive got a bigger kit also from cape union mart with more of the same and some others. Then ive got another bag with some wet wipes, sunblock, soap, pills for pain and nausea, emergency lights, some cash. Just after i put the medication and wet wipes in the car mh girlfriend got sick and needed it. So all in all im happy.

Wow....wall of text lol

Most used thing in my "emergency" kit is a spare tube. Came in real handy as a sling to strap up a broken collar bone.

Couple of plasters some valoid and imodium and that's it

If that does not cut it you need a teelie talie

Big hikes obviously need a selection of broad spectrum anti biotics savlon etc etc

In the car .....nothing,if I come on an accident call a teelie taalie

Small.kit to clean, disinfect, cover, and control bleeding on cuts and scrapes. Plastic CPR mouthpiece also included. One long bandage for either strapping, supporting or covering injured area. Also small tube of instant glue.

I carry a basic kit with me, mostly dressings and a couple of triangulars.  I actually had use of it last Sunday: someone had an unlucky OTB at Rosemary, it seems like he broke his collarbone.  Personally I feel that triangulars are the most important - they can be used both for limb support and to stop bleeding.  My view of first aid is that you want to get the patient to treatment, rather than being treatment itself.

Small little patch kit on the bike (plasters and a bandage or two) but a big-ass box in my bus. Have used that one plenty, if you travel a lot and at night you see some horrid things.

After a fall i had a scratch that required some covering for cycling I have got a big kit in car with bandages gauze and some other stuff. Gauze works really well for nose bleeds btw.
