Oskos Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 HI Guys. Every year December I Leave Durban for Jeffreysbay. During this time I trade my MTB in most of the days for a fishing rod. Its not that bad and its time with my father in law that keeps the wife and in laws happy. I have ridden down there, but dont know any routes to ride. Followed a dirt road that goes around to Humans dorp and found a gate half way. On the way back i found a old railway and just followed it. So I ask can any one help me with any info on trails and routes around Jbay. Would appreciate it alot.

Lots of lekker trails in and around PE (close enough for a day outing) - Norm Hudlin- Hopewell- Slipperfields + VIPA trail- Crossways (part of 3 Rivers trails)- Baakens Valley- Woodridge- Jbay Bike Park- Impala Ranch- Baviaans- Longmore- Addo http://www.ecmtb.co....=page&menu_id=9 http://fattracks.co.za/#
Brian Fantana Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 There are three nice trails that are within 40km of Jbay. Impala Ranch MTB Trails - Just outside Jbay on the Zuurbron Road. Routes ranging from 5km to 20km. The routes are fun. They have a coffee shop there as well. http://www.impalaranchmtb.com/ Jbay Bikepark - About 20km outside Jbay, close to Thornhill. Very nice and fun routes. Nice for technical skill training. www.jbaybikepark.co.za 3 Rivers Trails - Just outside Thornhill. Best is to start at Crossways Country Kitchen. Im also keen on a few decent rides. I know the gravel road to Humansdorp but I would really like to find a few other routes.

There is so many farms there and you can see all the jeep tracks, but there is no chance where I am just gonna ride and maybe get a shotgun up my you know what. So if there is any locals in JBay please share. Maybe I'll bump into you Vetseun.

I used to ride above Humansdorp on the moto trails- super fun and you can ride for hours if you want looping different sections together.Also Speak to Joshua at J-bay cycles... TOP CHAP and always willing to help. and as per the above posts j-bay bike park and i have heard a rumor of another park that has opened but might be wrong...

Longmore Forest is a Cape Pine plantation with close to 800km of jeep track and fire roads. 3 Rivers Trails run through a part of Longmore forest and the scenery and singletrack is awesome. Will be in J-Bay and Knysna and hoping to go explore some of the trails in JBay and sorrounding areas. Looking for some nice fast single track like The Garden Route Trail Park, def one of the best places i have ridden so far! Any other places to look out for when down there??
AttieV Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Hi Everybody... I'm in Jeffrey's Bay from the 14th, anyone else keen on doing some MTB rides please PM me. Last time round I did the Baviaans route out and back for a good 60-80 km ride. Dunno how safe it is out there alone nowadays?! Ciao4now.
