Hi recently I bought some road conti tubes from my lbs and when I got home I realised I bought a 60 mm valve length, im using a merida scultura road bike. Is there any advantages in using a 60 mm tube? They also cost like 15 bucks more than the 48 mm.

I cant really think of any real advantages, personally i find it easier to use a 48 mm also the 60mm makes my bike look really goofy.

Not as goofy as trying to use a 48 mm valve in a 50 mm rim....

I know I'm far from normal, but I cannot stand looking at a bike that has an oversize valve stem. It drives me nuts.

Keep it as short as possible, to match the rim.
