Rebuild fee for replacement frame?

I think its only fair... Because they dont carry the warranty . The supplier does. He spent at least two hours stripping and rebuilding on their product...

Just do it yourself if you have the tools. All the cables has already been custom to fit to the frame. Just put it back together. If all else fails, take all the parts with the frame back to your LBS

People really need to read the owners manuals and the warranty process they get with their bike.

 

Yeah, know what it states, that they cannot be held liable for courier/return, labour, etc...  But, in a perfect world the reason for the rebuild is due to their faulty frame and therefore neither the lbs or customer should suffer the cost implication.

 

Suppose the world isn't perfect though...

Ja, but if it is a manufacturers defect then why should the onus fall on the client.

 

But the LBS should not have to carry the cost of the re-build ....unless they have an agreement in place and their suppliers reimburse them again.
