I think Scott is going too far.  I saw the prototype at the Argus Expo and would SERIOUSLY not feel comfortable riding on a bike that light! Imagine you go through a pothole or hit a big rock!!! It will snap in half like a chopstick!! I like trusting my equipment while racing, decending & sprinting. My Trek weighs in at about 7.2 and i am more than happy with that!

Yeah Grapkas, agreed about the one at the Argus Expo, the problem with this new one is, all these are good solid performance components, all of it built up intelligently to an an insanely light package! I think they're just trying to upset the UCI and their sometimes silly laws.

I wouldn't even trust many of the currently super light frames (maybe with the exception of Litespeed).. Being a big boy means needing strong equipment. Hence riding a 9k Litespeed.

Exactly!! The main thing is feeling safe and trusting your equipment! When you race you can't hold back and i am sure i am going to be sh*t scared of going over a peble and breaking the fork half the time!

Correct one needs to feel safe thats why the Scott carbon is the strongest and lightest around (test done by EFBe )

With more than a decade of experience in testing services and test machine development, EFBe has continuously set and improved international standards

Oh ball man, why are they the biggest??? Cuz ppl pay them a crap load of money to give BS results. If those results are not verified by at least 5 other in depended Labs/Universities I have no reason to trust them. We talking billions of $$$ HERE!!!
