In, this one looks like there is a heap of climbing, anyone done it before?

I spend more time on that mountain than I spend at home. Pack your legs, some tough tough climbs on the 60km, the 30km is very easy and gentle.

Agree with Johny. Even though it looks like you're climbing out of Rheboks through the vineyards instead of the new singles, which will make it less strenuous... save some legs for that! From there it's back up to where you turned off and then up to the sementpad.

Not familiar with what happens on the Spice Route and Fairview sections and how you get back up to the TaalMonument. Skipping some singles and going through one I don't know, straight back to the KWV climb, then used as descend. Will that one remain open for use once the race has passed?

Word of caution: beware of kids possibly running into the road at the houses on that section going back down to KWV - I've had some scares there with them playing and not realising there's a bike coming down. On raceday you guys will be flying down there...

Anyone selling theirs, or going to Paarl on Staurday, and happy to do my entry for me.

I agree.

I'm also doing it.

Been up there last Saturday as well.

If I have the correct route...., its about 800m odd ascent to the top.

Did the Swartberg Pass yesterday from Oudshoorn side, 873m ascent over 11km.

Enjoy the route everyone. Especially the bit below Taalmonument aka Playgrounds. Used to be a really cool downhill track, but ASG did us all a massive favour and trashed all the "dangerous" features so that you can safely roll over everything. After all, the motto of mountain biking in SA is "If you can't ride it, destroy it and make it easier". Building the route around the existing track would have been too much effort you know!

Don't know of this particular route but sadly so true. Lots of that sadly going on in the uk also.

That was a brilliant race.

Fantastic trails, LOTS of climbing, good marshalling, trail marking, e.t.c......

The organisers of "The Burger" need to take note, because this is going to become a very popular race.

Well done to the organisers, i will be back..

I also thought it was a brilliant race. Excelent route, above average organising and the hot meals and smoothies at the finish were winners. That single track above Rhebokskloof was very cool. Will definitely do this again.

But why oh why do they insist on joining the longer and shorter routes near the end. Please stop doing this.

Fantastic race. Route was well marked, good organisation, marshalling etc. The single track in Rhebokskloof was awesome!!

Definitely one to do again next year

Agree 100 percent. In all races, this is dangerous for faster and slower riders.

Glad you guys enjoyed the race, I did the Langebaan mtb, fun, but loads and loads of sand. I can ride the beautifull Paarl mountain whenever I want, so did another race.

This race was sublime!!

I will definitely do this one again, but I would for sure not do the Swartberg Pass 2 days prior.

I felt it on the climb from Reebokskloof

Just one small complaint and I hope its not related to my talent.

The uphill single track from CBC could not be ridden by average riders.

Loved the downhill from Taal monument though.

From CBC they tested your endurance B20.... I didnt walk once, till that last bit singletrack befor Taalmonument. I would rather let the 30km riders take some other route, irritation when you did the long one and held back by slow riders. Singletrack was insane, kept on going like a Duracel battery. All and all a very good race and even got a medal.....not an opener.
