I've been using an Ikon on the rear of my bike for about 18 months in total (about a year for the first one, 2.2 and then six months or so for the new 2.35 version) The 2.35 is great and has lots of grip.
BaGearA Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Ikon will work fine but the crossmarks are made of some type of rubber that fiveten still have to discover , I put about 3000kms on mine before the cross on the center knobs even started to fade away Ikons were 100% dead at about 5k km on average for me back in the day

Breezer Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 If resistance is not a issue for you, why dont you put Ardent front and back? That is one of the toughest tyres in the Maxxis stable. You will get much more km on them than on the Ikon.

If they really don't last, I will give the Ardents a go for sure. Thanks. Rode with the ikons for the first time this morning, bliksem they throw a lot of dirt up in my face.
