If you can afford it go for DT Swiss, otherwise Hope, I run DT Swiss 240s on my Enve wheelset and Hope's on my 2nd bike

Also aftersale sertvice for DT Swiss in SA is poor, whereas Hope has good aftersale service (not that you need it much..)

American Classic hubs outperform DT Swiss 240 by a country mile.

And they are lighter .

I have 1 thing to say.... Chris King.... :)

Although Hope will do - at a push.....

I put American Classic at the top of the pile.

Chrisk King if you want long term serviceable bearings and the free hub sound.

White Industries after that and then hope .

What I want is a hub that doesn't need servicing during a multiday event.... Hopes have been fine so far - also easily servicable in an emergency - I would hate to go looking for parts in a hurry on some of the more exotic stuff around.

My brother in law has managed 1.5 Freedom challenges on his american classics... don't think they have ever been serviced either.... and they are still going fine.

Opening hubs day in and out, I am constantly blown away by the design and simplicity of A/C.

Where does Industry 9 sit on the hierarchy ladder?

Good luck if you break a spoke in the middle of nowhere.

They are shiny though. And they sound cool. Not sure if those are decent criteria for buying hubs though.

Ja nee boet

I must say ,being a noob and having only worked on all sorts of huns for the past 24 years I am beyond the point of bling and I look more at serviceability and durability, having a poor engineering background also doesn't really help as I become over fussy of what I want or like .

They have the Classic hubs for the normal J-Bend spokes as well...
