Lovely bike. What tyres are you running, also how do you find those bars?

They the Maxxis ramblers 40c and they are awesome!

I got the bar and some other parts with the frame when I bought the bike.

How is the bar for comfort. I am starting with a more or less standard 440mm road bars.

I will be running these tyres Riddler 37C

Cool, what width rims are you going to running them on?

The woodchoppers 2 are super comfy and helps with handling over the rough stuff.

I will be running them tubless on a set of ZTR Arch wheels.

Its my understanding that they should work fine (hopefully)  :whistling:

Also, will run  1x 10 10spd shimano road shifters, with a 9spd XT rear derailer on a ten speed cassette.

Apparently this work fine due to the same pull rations (hopefully!!)

What gearing are you running?

It should work fine, you might have to play around with the B-screw etc.

I've been thinking of using a fiction barend shifter with a 11 spd SLX RD. There is a guy (Ultra Romance) in the States running an eagle 12spd RD with a fiction brand shifter. But he had to make modify the shifter alittle with a grinder... http://theradavist.com/2017/01/benedicts-2020-s-works-fuse-ultra-baja-buggie/#1

Im running a 40 - 19 ratio at the moment.

Stupid question, but I am guessing that the friction shiftier is un-indexed?

Hopefully my parts will be here Monday!!!

I'm running bar-end shifters at the moment. They are 9 speed BUT you turn the "Dial" and they turn from being index shifters to friction shifter, so I can put ANY speed cassette in the back (within the range of motion of the derailleur of course)
