Building a Cyclo Cross bike

They are TRP's  - about half the cost of the v-twin.

But I am still considering a CX1 setup - so until the frame is back I don't plan to do anything.

So until then can I call shotgun on the TRP's :P ha ha. wife says 30th can splash out for CX bike. Gives me time for that shimano hydraulic to make its way to RSA.

Sure you can - but you are second in line to Eddy.... :)

I don't even ask my wife about new bikes anymore.... not brave enough....

Eddie has a hope V twin on his bike - think it is one of Shamus's bikes.... actually I know it is... :)

Nope, frame from Shamus but not build kit.

All bought on sale from Evans when I was in London earlier this year. They also had a "price match" so got it at CRC's best price as they were also on sale.  Got my VAT back as well.

Also, bought bits and pieces on the HUB and went with 10 speed SRAM XO MTB RD and 10 speed road group as people "upgraded" to 11 speed.

Always a good time to buy when technology changes.....

Guess that makes it not Shanmus's bike then... :(

But it is a good looking bike indeed - maybe it needs a run tomorrow morning...

OK, but it is still a bit too slow at the moment as the engine needs more work.

Anyone got a 54cm cyclocross frame and fork lying around? I am struggling to sell my road bike so thought I should just change the frame and brakes to cyclocross.

  • 3 weeks later...

I'll be bringing a few On-One gravel tyres in, in a few weeks time.

Available to purchase here.

I'll give an update on them once I've fitted and run them for a while.

Are there any disc brake based groupsets available in ZA?

Like the SRAM CX1?

Don't you sell the planet X CX bike with CX1 for about the same price? except you get a bike free.... :)

Hmmm... more details?

Ah, thought Ryanpmb was only bringing in frames. Was considering buying one and building.

But if I can just buy an entire bike, that seems like an option to consider.
