Update on my X, just pulled the trigger on some Tune King Kong Hubs, ZTR Iron Cross rims, Ritchey disk brake carbon fork and some IRD mechanical callipers.... I am going to convert her to disks once they all arrive. RyanPMB is going to assist with the wheel build. Cant wait!

And some Gravel Road tyres  ;)

I have Disc brake calipers for anyone who is interested - mechanicals that is. I have a set of Avid BB7's which came off my tandem. I have gone to the HYRD brakes so if you are building a disc CX bike and want some mechanical disc stoppers PM me.

I said 'dibs' first. Whoop - they're mine

Edit: I am just having a laugh. Rock is first option. I'll take second in line if he doesn't want them.

Now Now Kids stop fighting.

If you talk really nicely I may have a set of Shimano CX mechanical disc brakes as well. Dont ask.

I wasn't going to part with them but they are doing nothing in my garage.

Two tech related questions:

How important are thruaxle for cyclocross frames or are QR axles ok as what is found in lower spec frames?

Secondly, if you use tubeless which rims are better, mtb or road? If mtb is the max psi good enough for road usage and if road rims, do they work at lower psi for off road conditions?
