khm4252 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Has anyone been for an MTB skills lesson with Swen Lauer. I would like to attend one in the new year. He seems quite good and was the recommended guy for the Wines2Whales. But he is a lot more expensive than some of the other courses out there. I have been on a course with the Tread guys which was not bad, but would like some more skills and refinement. There are so many guys offering courses now, it is hard to know who is quality and who is not or at least who is value for money/time.
waveduke Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I did a one-on-one training session with Swen a while ago and was highly satisfied :-) He comes from a BMX background which means his riding skills are unbelievable. All his advice was very valuable during the build up for the Cape Epic. I definitely recommend him.

Had a couple of chats with him, and to see him on a bike is amazing. What he used to be able to make that Scott of his do... Edit: So what I'm saying is that you'd do well with him. He's very approachable always ready to lend a hand and knows how to ride. Also knows how to tell people how to ride.
