C'mon guys, only one real hardtail monster shown so far, in this thread?

To help save it, here's a (rubbish) photo of me riding a Mercer Hungry Monkey down one of the most gnarly sections in Cape Town-not my bike, but it's hand made in Cape Town and everyone should own one IMO!

No, but the thread is calling for Hardtail Steel Trail Monsters. A hardtail trail monster must have at least 140mm at the front to be considered a pukka Trail Monster.

Only those that have ridden a hardtail monster will know why that is...

LOL.

Try it. Thank me now AND later.

Im trying for 2 months now. Even placed a wanted add here. Can't seem to find a 140mm fork with 200mm steerer for a descent price. ...

There's your problem... I know how you feel though. My reign X has a stupidly large head tube length.

Same with my Momsen. With the headset it came out with that enable the frame to go from a straight steerer to tapered, you need a moerse long steerer.

You saying that one can not ride real trails with a rigid?

Not at all! Just that a rigid bike doesn't qualify as a  'monster' in my humble opinion.

Jammer still only has the 120mm fork, need to get that to 140mm, was this a ride with you Wil, at the Jacaranda

Also only 120mm, but she soaks up them trails plenty. Maybe one day when I'm big, I'll get myself a 140mm revelation for her. I nearly did, but overall budget on this build was already blown!
