You're comparing an awesomely specced out trail-orientated bike with a fairly average-specced out Marathon machine (I assume your Spez bike is an Epic). A fairer comparison would be the Pyga with a Camber Evo with full XT for example. Also what are you looking to spend? Those two bikes compared cannot be in the same price range! What I do know is you can get a Camber Comp Evo (Shimano brakes and X7/X9 drivetrain) with a Reverb and tubeless conversion for R35k. Good luck getting a simalarly specced PYGA for that price. Quality wise, no difference. PYGA is awesome but hardly unique.

If you guys actually take a moment to look at the specs, you will see he is referring to the Camber. The Epic doesnt come with a ctd shock, also the Epic comes with rockshox front forks. For 40k you will have a carbon bike with the Spez, if thats important to you, to me its very important. The Pyga is a great bike, but I think they are too expensive, my opinion. Also if you are a noob, buy a complete bike, when it comes to warrantees its just much simpler.

But, it does seem that he is comparing two bikes from different price brackets just based on the specs. I love my PYGA and am bias but it doesn't seem a fair comparison for the Spez, based on specs...
