Your fixation on the one-dimensional point of "if they do it, so can we" is beyond understanding. NOBODY CARES what other road users do or don't do, and sure as hell do not use it as an excuse to ride bicycles like kamikaze pilots high on meth. The point is, and has always been on the effect of your riding on the cycling community at large. Do you get this, or do you just choose to ignore it because it makes you feel uncomfortable? You are either helping or harming cyclists at large through your behaviour, and it is pretty common cause that the riding of you and your mates is harming the wider cycling community. Maybe you should care, or at least a bit, and stop being so selfish.MTB-BFK, I think you also miss the point as well. You are a hypocrite my friend. Even better odds, why don't we take a bet to see which one of you hubbers, non cycling family and friends included, is going to be killed next by someone speeding, chatting on a phone or driving under the influence?

How's that working out for you? 1. I have long since learned that driving 100 or 110km/h with my big 4x4 loses me little to no time in getting there, saves a sheet load of fuel and leaves me more relaxed. 2. I don't ride road so I don't jump robots or do stupid things to proof that other people do the same stupid things as I've just done to post it on the internet to argue about the stupid things I've done so the people who do the same stupid things can have an argument with me over said stupid things. 2.1 When I ride my mountain bike near tear I'll be the one on the gravel NEXT to the road. Just because I'm allowed by law to ride ON the road doesn't mean I have to go out and tempt fate. 3. I don't use my cellphone when I'm driving. Ever. Should I use it for navigation I connect it via bluetooth. 4. Yes I too do step over the line sometimes. But never cause "well everybody else does it" and never to proof a point. 5. Nice going with hitting the yellow light. Trust you don't have a wife and kids or parents that'll need explaining to when it goes south. And all just because you wanted to proof I'm a hypocrite. 6.
