LUZERN Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Ride there often and it can be really good training. Track generally opens between 16.00 and 17.00, but can sometimes be closed due to other events. Check the website which is generally up to date. Nice and safe so far.

Man I forgot how brutal the Wesbank hill can be if you're not fit... Sheesh. And I was wrong, Dennis is definitely back at Kyalami, I saw him there.

Its very much required though as the track was in bad shape. I heard a rumour that they are changing the track layout including lengthening the main straight... Could be interesting.
SteveJhb Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 I rode there on the last day (the 4th) just to say farewell to the old girl. The strongest rumour seems to be that the start finish straight will be lengthened and will run up close to where the bus company is now. In Toby we trust.
Imploder Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I just hope they'll continue to allow cyclists on the track after the refurbishments. It would be awesome if they could add some lighting. Make the track rideable at night.....

Honkdonk Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 The whole complex is currently a construction site and will take a few months more before the the track will be open againNot sure if bicycles will enjoy the same freedom of the track as they did when it opens compared to a Porsche.. They own it after all

Lots of new tarmac though which is nice.
