Pikey Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 I think 26ers are gonna become like steel framed bikes or some might say have already all this hype about the bigger wheels is gonna dissipate and the 26er is gonna be the most sought after wheel size again. Like steel frames you just can't get the same handling with the other wheel sizes that you have with 26. How I miss mine now..... I just slipped and bought another one ...... .... there is just something about FUN .... and I'm the biggest children of them all!I think 26ers are gonna become like steel framed bikes or some might say have already all this hype about the bigger wheels is gonna dissipate and the 26er is gonna be the most sought after wheel size again. Pikey Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 As far as I know the pike is 42 mm and the mrp is 43 mm. Stand under correction

popcorn_skollie Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Okay not that different then. Wheelbases would also suggest that the Pyga should be more stable. Top tubes and seat tube angles?id also like to know this. commis change in top tube length alone between the 5.5 and the AM was quite an agressive change.

TAAHIRWP Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Okay so to conclude the meta AM was just way better than the pascoe in this test review[emoji12] [emoji7] , and the meta SX is my next bike when the money tree in my yard starts shedding some $$$
Capricorn Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hee hee! Meta has a longer reach. Bazinga not necessarily. reach and top tube measurements are not the same. the reach on the large Pascoe is 455mm. What's the measured reach on the Commencal? With modern trail bike geometries, top tube measurements are a throwback to road cycling metrics for the seated pedalling position, and thus less effective a measure of descending capability where the rider is mostly standing.TT measurements on modern trail bike geometries are also skewed away from the road cycling basis as head angles are becoming slacker. Reach, taken from the centerline of the BB to the centerline of the headtube is becoming the defining standard for bikes geared more for aggressive descending.

Common takes it.
