I've got the Crossfit bible stuff, but I'm always interested in finding variations that other people are using... 

 

Sounds like me, always looking at other plans and adapting them to my needs... :thumbup:

I only ever rode for 30 minutes before last year's Argus and managed 3:25.. have decided to do the same this year and sleep more instead of getting up early and spend hours in the saddle.

You'll only get the full benefits of doing intervals if you have good base miles. Doing intervals with little or no base miles will lead to slower recovery, excessive fatigue etc.

How much time and in what HR zone must i sit on the IDT to build up proper base miles?

would 3 30minute very high intensity sessions on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday be better than two 1 hour not so intense sessions on a tuesday and Thursday?
