I would not let that bike leave.....

id number means less than fokol,, the chances of that guy bailing when your security company pull in are pretty dam high, that coupled with an offer to "purchase" the bike, explain to him thats a stolen bike and you are going to get it back to the owner, tell him if he paid for it or not does not make it any less illegal, its stolen property. once the property is secured get an avidavit saying you have the stolen property and you want to track down the owner

There's not really much I can do - we can keep him here as long as possible and hope that someone who has had a bike stolen comes forward, but it's so difficult to judge these days if this is legit or not - in current day South Africa, if it looks like a Duck and quacks like a Duck, it's extremely possible that its a dog

THESE GUYS NORMALLY FORK OUT BETWEEN R2000-R4000 for these stolen bikes if they did not steal it themselves which makes it *** for them to swallow as they did"pay" for it in their eyes,

So much? He can buy a new bike for R800 at Makro

bud you got nothing to loose, get the security there and ask him does he want to "sell" the stolen property or can he provide proof of ownership tell him if he is not comfortable with the deal you can always call the cops, ask him how much he paid for it then explain to him its like buying a BMW for R2000 it is obviously stolen the police can solve it quick quick or tell you what he "paid" and we buy it and track the real owner

Was your Niner found?  I must have not been here that day...

bud you dont even have to get personally involved, if you have an armed response company who is resposible for the companies security call them in explain and tell them they must give you a week to find the owner, maybe he says he will "sale" it if there is no police involvement
