What an awesome awesome awesome event.

Had so much fun,mi was worried about cops coming to arrest me.

Pieter1 and SuzieQ you guys deserve a huge well done and thank you for the effort you put into this event. The track was superb, and quite challenging, by hour nr 5 my legs certainly did not want to work anymore.

Will certainly be back next year.

Now that was great fun ☺ The course was all that was promised and then some! Kept it interesting for solo riders that always helps.

Lekker atmosphere and general organisation was spot on.

Thanks to Sue and Peter!

Must say that my hands, arms and upper body took a beating on that downhill with the rigid fork but nothing a rest day won't cure ☺

Great meeting RocknRolla and the aforementioned Sue and Peter. Also good to see my old cronies/homies Flippa, MrBaker, Lee and Neil Cantrell, Bored Girl and of course the legendary Jules!

What a ride this was!!! I entered and took my SS. (eh)

I rode a 32/16 on the 29er.

it was good for the best part. just had to keep my lines on some of the sudden climbs, if you're caught behind slower riders it could cost you to dismount.

The first section with the bumps were hectic. after about 10 laps they stop being fun and start to just chow your upper body. the section through the school was a unique experience, not often you get to ride on the school grounds like that (legally)

The support and the "gees" from the people on the side were awesome, always filled with cheers, "only two hours left", "come on this is the easy part" I remember clearly.

through and through it was just a case of #keepthoselegsspinning... #houbenehou

Verdict is: Great ride , would take a slightly lighter gear and better suspension next time.

17laps +-110kms. legs were still fine while my arms and upper body hurt the most.

Six hours is a long time !!

Jip, Also enjoyed it , very nice course although actually being a roadie with a So-so mountainbike with springloaded shock, I felt my Upperbody and the downhills was proving to more of an issue than the uphill sections the last two hours.

Having said that it was nice to ride a course that is not only a dirtroad and there was quite a few first for me.

Longest time on MTB, Furthest distance done on MTB.

Did the entire course except the gap jump.

Did only 15 laps so came a bit short on my initial expectation but got some good training time in.

really enjoyed my first dash - will be back next year

from now on I'll have to go through Delta with each Spruit ride just for that new down hill tree line!

We not even finished with it yet :D

As The Trailhead we donated 3 prizes of full bike services to the winning team. It somehow didn't get read out completely during prize giving...
