Maybe you should read what the OP said another time.

I think he was referring to the sprints .

Seems like he does know something about cycling .

fair enough.  just don't know why one would dis a guy for not performing on the first race of the season.  none of the top guys are in top form yet and sagan wasn't rated as a favourite in any of the races so far anyway.  if he sucks at sanremo, flanders and perhaps the adrennes then its a different story

Hey guys of course my post was serious... these are weight matters that need addressing with the honesty and collective insight of the brain trust that is this great institution. On a Friday.

I was just too lazy to write anything new so I just edited copy from the 'Will Andy Schleck win anything' thread and took the rest from the various cycling sites that are calling out on PS that he's a dud. His move was a mistake. In his first race. Of a new season. And he's 25. An won more than most riders. Is marked in every race.

I was too busy firing up the pop corn machine to really take time to know anything about cycling. ;)

Yup.. it was a sacrcastic post in the first place..

Bottom line for me.

He is made a massive fuss over, he has won over fans by showboating and doing things a little different, he has been applauded for brining something a little "fresh" to the sport.

I see it as no more than him being a windgat sprinter who is being shown the ropes at the moment.

The green jersey as much as that is a super achievement is a points race, yes the rider needs to be consistent and that is great, think of Zabel.

But cycling does not have the "feared" riders like it used to have .

As for this "haters will be haters" debate, no it's far from that, see cycling for what it is and the riders that contribute to the history of the sport as the legends they will be remembered for .

I saying that I think that cannondale over used him. He was racing too many races. Time will tell he is what 25 now.? He is exciting though, absolutely love watching him ride,. and I am not referring to the wheelies..

Will he win anything?   What you guys smoking...? He has won the points classification in Le Tour 3 times in 3 attempts, with multiple stage wins - more than 99.99% of all continental pros will dream of in their lifetime.

Not too bad for a 25 yr old "kid".

I do see him dominating the classics and more races once he learns more tactical nous...  he let a few stages in the 2014 Tour slip by bad tactics.

*unashamed Sagan fanboy*

I'm sure he is inconsolable. I heard he kicked the supermodels out of his mobile home at Qatar and told them to take the Veyron back to the airport and wait in the Citation. Hope things improve soon.

Looking at the stage today I don't think he will win it. Probably Kristoff again or Demare.
