Had a rider on A B C D and E. Break away in A, B was pretty decent. D caught C really quickly and our guy in E had a gp4000 tear in half. Wind was enough to be a nuisance. Some big excited all around.

Last foods race before the cycle tour.

Started in B, punctured on Contermankloof Road. Inflated with Pitstop. Jumped onto the back C bunch.Went up Vissers and the same wheel deflated, bombed it up and rode up to the top and it flatted again. Race over

Vissershok on cold-ish pistons was tough hey, even after a 20 min warm-up.

Guttering up to the R44 really hurt my feelings.

Some superb roleurs in B that kept the tempo neat and tidy on the rollers.

For some reason, we had no bike marshal with us. Strange.

Beautiful event.

Now to pack my toothbrush for a biz trip to Jhb.

Vissershok had nothing on me, pulled the group up there like it was nothing.  It was that damn neutral zone that killed me. :D

Punctured after Tiekie in A, fell in with C grp. D caught up after some great work by the Cedar guys. Took some long pulls on the front. Was a great bunch to be in. Sat back for the sprint as my race was over.

I took a tumble in A, can anybody tell me how it happened as I have no idea. I just remember going down at full speed. Helmet took a massive hit.

Great day to be riding. Started in Q with the boys. :) Felt great until the 90km mark, then realized that I have been pulling the little blighters along for free. I tried to make them work a bit over the last 20 km but they were finished, so I did some more pulling. Got home, wife miffed because we took so long and we used her car. Got no lunch and was forced to go shopping for my sins, do the dishes and the washing  (bikes still need a wash too). Sommer gatvol! :cursing:  Do you think it's maybe just low blood sugar? ;)
