Getting a new bike (the women's Rumor) and thinking of having it with a dropper seat post. The Spez sales people are obviously recommending their own brand but I wonder if it is any good. Any recommendations on other dropper seat posts?

I'll let someone else comment on the spez one. Know from reading on here it does shoot up a bit fast. I'm still partial to my reverb, works well and the remote is nice. There are a lot of very well priced options around.

Command Post is nice. I prefer the Reverb for the adjustable ( infinite position vs 3 spots). Giant dropper is the cheapest I have seen and I have heard good things. The KS stuff is apparently good as well. Whatever you buy don't get a crankbrothers post.

pitty Giant not available in 31,6 thoough, would love a reverb, but with a 3rd on the way(glipsie) I'd probably have to let that go

Use one of the size adapters. It's better buying a 30.9mm post anyway as that's what the majority of bikes use these days.

I have had a command post for 3 months.

The three heights are more than sufficient, to be honest.

The rebound / reverb is not a big issue...I haven't emasculated myself once. You simply learn how to use it.

Not a single problem in 3 months of hard use.

.

If you can, GET ONE - it makes a huge difference to trail riding.

I am not saying the 3 settings arn't enough just that the mid position is a bit high for me. Other than that its a great post with the shifter actuation its intergrated nicely and works. The post is at least on par with the Reverb.

I am also looking at buying one for my Camber I think what will sway me is Reverb is about R2K more expensive was offered the Command for 3.5K cannot bring myself to spending 6K on a Reverb dropper post

Can't comment on the new models, but the originals are a portable egg flip with their 410km/h return speed. They are solid and easy enough to service though.

I have a command on my 2014 Camber - it TRANSFORMS the bike - DO IT if you ride lots of singletrack
