Wireless/bluetooth Earphones

RIght so who has and what,

i have been looking for a while and cant make up my mind.

 

Will use mine for Running/MTbiking and Gym so needs to be comfy.

Not too fussed on price or brand as long as they are good.

 

Dont really mind if they are on/over ear either as long as they are not heavy and bulky.

 

These are what i am interested in at the moment and not sure what to set my mind to.

The Jabra Rox seem like a better bet for me, you're not paying for the HR monitor and they also have a pretty decent set of ear wings in there for running or riding. If I ever replace my Sennheiser's that's what I'll be going for. I like the magnetic coupling and wake/sleep feature.

I have looked at them and are one of the sets i would consider,

just didnt add them to the list.

I've been meaning to look for some wireless earphones (small in your ear type not large over your ear type) to use with my portal DVD player that I watch when cycling indoors. The typical ear phone wires are short and get in the way...

I've got the Sennheiser PMX 685i and I really like the single band wrap around fit as I've never had them fall off on any downhill run, wish they'd bring out a Bluetooth version already.

I bought a set of JBL in ear Bluetooth earphones from Dions Wired for R1400.

They suck. 

They worked fine the first time.   

Then the issues started by switching them on/off.  Sometimes they just loose connection.

I actually phone the manager (Dions Wired) today to tell him I am bringing it back.

I've never gone for a MTB ride with earphones in, what is the sensation like when you cant hear what's going on around you in the bush? I like the look of these Plantronics earphones and will be looking at getting a pair...

Can you play music from your phone via bluetooth and also at the same time use the bluetooth for your Garmin/Strava device, i.e. Edge 810?

Just some feedback,

I ended up getting the Jabra Sport Pulse.

 

They are pretty damn nice, a bit expensive but worth it if you want to use the HRM, it is quite accurate.

It can be a bit tough to get the fitment right but once you do the will not fall out and can go louder than you would expect.

 

Oh and everything actually works, such as skip songs and such.

they App is a great addition as well.

In the market for wireless earphones. Budget - R1500 so looking for something semi-decent.

 

Will be used for my cycling sessions and general music listening on Spotify.

Tech Radar rated them the best wireless earphones for the budget but then I stumbled upon Amazon user reviews and it was quite bad.

People are complaining about the battery that only last a few months and then the unit is dead. And there is also no local support for these because they are imported. 

 

Quite disappointed, they looked really good!

So i like the following options:

 

if you are riding on the open road Bone conduction earphones are the win.

they leave your ear canal open so you can hear cars and ambient noise, further they allow your ear to breathe which is nice, i find earphones to eventually become uncomfortable/itchy due to the inability to breathe.

i have a set of these and i swear by them

alternatively if you have an android phone the Samsung wireless earpods are also decent.

with an android phone you can enable ambient noise which then allows you to hear other noises quite well.

i gave my set to my wife for her to use at gym and she loves them.

i never tried them for riding, but i suspect they would be decent.
