I want to buy a Tallboy, but I want to use my exisitng Fox fork, which is a 100mm travel fork? Has anybody ridden the bike with this fork and has it been ok?

Yetiboy: Tallboy is designed for a 100mm fork, newer versions can take up to 130mm

What model / year is the bike?

I would be buying it new, the tallboy 2 CC. It just seems all the complete bikes I could find on the internet had 120mm forks which got me worried.

Ran 100mm and was perfect. Moved to 110mm and was also great.

The geometry of the frame allows for 100 or 120 and both feel great....you have nothing to worry about. Watch the low bb with that 100mm fork though.

Recently been told that I can run anything from 100 to 140 mm if i wanted. I currently run 115 mm reba. For a more XC ride install 100 mm if you want more trail ride upgrade to more travel.

On a Tallboy? Sure you can. Just remember to take the 140mm out and stick a 120mm back when there are any issues. Your warranty is void with a 140mm on the Tallboy.

140mm = Tallboy LT.

I have standard 140mm forks on my LT and it is awesome but quite sensitive to stack height. I run riser bars and a high stack to get an upright riding position because of back issues. It compromises climbing noticeably. I imagine that a normal Tallboy's climbing ability could be affected if you make the forks too long.
