Rheebokskloof near Wellington is well worth the drive out for awesome trails and great venue

+1 for Rhebokskloof. Flippen awsome trails. About 18km of singletrack by now. And you can link up your ride with Paarl mountain.

if you do Welvanpas do the black route. Reminds me of firehut trail at Jonkers.

You know with Tokai closed and off limits for so long ..possibly a couple of years it would be really nice if Sanparks could find it in their hearts open up some of cecelia for riding. But I suppose that is dreaming. What is going to happen is that they are going to end up with a huge problem of illegal riding and the legal trails that are still open (Rhodes memorial is the only other one in the south that i know of) are going to suffer extreme congestion. Are there any other legal trails in TMNP besides rhodes mem and tokai ..please educate me ..I'm really missing my tokai rides ...the reason I specifically ask about withing TMNP is the I and many others are now sitting with permits which we cant reall use enough to justify having bought them? or am I just being ridiculous...?

Try Meerendal, if you're not a member, you pay R30.

Go on the Tygerberg club website and check there.

tygerberg, but without membership you can't do much there, so Welvanpas it must be.

Ummm not quite: Bspot which links to Majik Forest), Meerendal, Hoogekraal, and Contermanskloof are all available on a day permit of R30 per trail. Closer than the others to Caoe Town. So I think that is plenty one can do....

Where is Red Hill that you speak of? The one above Simons Town? Roodeberg mountains? I thought we weren't allowed there?

It is legal, you can also cycle the other way from Black Hill to Lewis Gay dam, etc.

did Bottleray yesterday for the first time. Was a tough ride, well for me anyway! Some singles as well and a fair amount of switch backs. R50 entry. Will definitely go back, a good workout for sure.
