You have walk over a really dodgy bridge and a section thats just 2 steel poles. The reason it causes such a bad bottle neck is due to the fact that the first 8km is a slight down hill on the tar. So its very fast and no technical skill is required. That was followed by a small slightly technical section. But that piece is not enough to split the field up properly. And soon after that you get to the river crossing. Hence the major bottle neck.

Oxter Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Doing both days and looking forward to the race again this year, Ive got a score to settle after some issues last year. The river crossing was not ideal, but it was not as bad as people say. I waited for 30-45min and actually enjoy the time chatting to people around me training for sani2c as well, I actually met up with a few of them during the sani2c. The situation was definitely worsened by the fact that there was no batching last year due to that "corrupt file" and hopefully they sorted that out (what irritated me more was walking down some technical stuff due to riders in-front of me). If you aren't a racing snake as you claim, just enjoy your day out. See you guys at the beer tent this weekend
