Where to ride? Cape Town weekend/week

We are flying to CPT on the 9th-13th April and we planned to bring bikes.

(We also planned to do a 10day CPT riding trip the last week in April, but that seems like it will be a waist now due to the main trails not being ridable anymore.)

I would like the locals to tell me now which will be the best spots to visit the weekend of the 9th-13th April.

I am thinking of the following:

10th April - Morning ride at Chris Nixon Cycling academy Constantia Uitsig (maybe an afternoon hike up Lions Head)

11th April - morning ride at G-spot (other trails in Stellies?) then off to Malmesbury for a wedding at 4pm

12th April - ride at Welvanspas/Bains MTB Wellington

Which other trails (Enduro/DH) are in these areas that I should rather consider or skweezzz in the tight schedule?

Rather something in Somerset west? Or or?

Edit: What about Delvera?

I wouldn't miss Helderberg Farm trail. Was there over weekend and its looking very good. Lot of work has been done! Riding up is mostly single track. Riding down is all Singletrack! Just pack the climbing legs for the up. (Remember to take pictures of the road gap if you do it)

Thanks for the replies guys.

Can we still ride G-spot and Eden in Stellies?

Who do you guys recommend we ask to show us the trails/point us in the right direction when we are there? Or can I get a map somewhere to indicate the fun trails?

Yes - G spot (And G Land, Mark Gordon's lesser known spot) are open. As is Eden, afaik.

So is Paarl and Steilte, as well as Contermans.

As for a guide - best person to speak to would be Dan @ IRide Africa. Really... He's good. And he packs craft for after-ride chill sessions...

As for our side, not that much unfortunately. There are a few trails on the front of the mountain (ask the Cap for a tour) and then there's Chris Nixon's spot which is fun to ride. But it's a workout...

If only you'd been a few months earlier... :(

Delvera is a good one!

Blue and Black route is 18km(R30 for permit which includes a free coffee), but the top section of the Black route is un-ridable in my opinion. Some sick Dh/Enduro lines at Delvera once u get over the top

Paarl has Rhebokskloof which is a chilled, flowy XCO type trail.

And then of course we have our gravity trails in Paarl, with a tar road shuttle. Three DH lines, and two Enduro lines and then a little freeride park with a rad tabletop and a bunch of sketch drop-offs, wallrides etc.

If you're keen and I'm around I'm more than happy to show you the spot.  I live in paarl so Paarl and Wlevanpas and Rheboks are my locals.

I'll vouch for Paarl. If you have a shuttle vehicle (Frankly a must) it's helluva fun.

So on our trip we did:

G-spot, Helderberg and Paarl DH.

We rode/pushed up to the top of the Helderberg DH line, it was deadly and I doubt I will do that again without shuttles. Luckily we cought the "CPT uplift guys" in Paarl on the Sunday and got a good couple of hours of shuttles

Now it seems we will be doing another CPT trip next week, so driving down from JHB via the Garden Route bike park. On our way onto CPT I was thinking about doing some of the Grabouw/Lebanon trails....need to know though...IS IT WORTH IT TO STOP THERE?

If so, which trails should we ride?

Does anyone here know anything about the Greyton DH trail? Is it still going?

Please also advise to which other trails we should go to on 3 or so other days in and around CPT. (We love them gravity type trails please, not them uphills or gravel roads )

We will have trail bikes and DH bikes this time and if someone will be keen on shuttle days some where it will be great :)

You really should go and do Welvanpas Black and Yellow but just know you earn your descent there. It's proper AM riding.

I personally adore Oak Valley, but quite a few people don't. It's not exactly tech central but it's a beautiful trail.
