that's assuming the route checker doesn't have back up arrows with him i.e. Plan B. That would be another Epic Fail!!

I was spectating on the 2015 Attakwas.

I was early and also saw some of the arrows & markers were trampled by a herd of cattle down in a valley.  I tried to straighten them as best I can, and just then a quad bike came past with a marshal with plenty tape and signs.  They replaced it and on they went.  About an 1/2 hour later another bike came past with a marshal (to do a follow up I suppose).

please tell me they had permission!

The Wannabee club has worked so hard to get those landowners on board for a local cycle ride through their land. I would hate for that to be lost.

But a big event like this must have got permission.

Is it just me or does it seem that none of the queries around the 40km route are being answered? On this thread and on social media.

I'm sure its been a long day for the organizers, I don't envy them! Let's see what comes out tomorrow or Monday...

Slowest in the 40km in 2:40? Proves that the entire field did 28km, nobody did 40.

The results still don't make sense.  There are some riders in the top 10 that I know are slower than a lot of other riders that finished way down in the list.

So if they give free entries for all 70km AND 40km for the Grabouw event they going to make big losses?

I agree - but they've set a precedent now by handing out free entries to some affected... so it's going to get tricky....

Check your emails as well guys, and your spam folders

I received an email with a link to enter + the coupon code to use for the free entry

I've entered yesterday with no issues
