SCD Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 For the past 2 weeks I was battling to upload my Garmin .I have now linked to vitality through STRAVA and it pulled through all my latest activities no problem .Just tried to do this but failing miserably.... I am ending up in an endless loop and neither Strava nor Vitality websites talk to each other. So. How did you do this?
cadenceblur Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Mine also sorted now, under the Load Work out page, there's a list of all the various apps etc.
ynot-mtb Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 hi there guys I had many conversations with Discovery due to also not being able to upload my activities, which soon to frustrations as they were looking into the matter!!! What I found was that if your uploading with the use of Internet Explorer you will not have any luck as from Discovery side their software no longer supports this. "Google Chrome " seems to be the preferred medium. Since going through "GC" for some reason or other I have been able to get things right and download manually only. The other thing I found was that the "upload workout" button on the workout tracker page on Discovery does not work for me. There is one on the bottom of the page that does it for me. Hopefully with the new MMF SITE it will make things easier. Connected this morning with a few teething issues already.... Good luck guys.
cadenceblur Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I see that I only get 50 points per work out though as it's deemed as vigorous? How does amend this?
Jigghead Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I see that I only get 50 points per work out though as it's deemed as vigorous? How does amend this? You may find that you've gathered up your maximum of 15,000 fitness point for the year. Your 50 pts would be considered bonus points and you still get those over and above the 15,000 fitness points. I'm at that point. Now considering using my wife's Garmin FR220 for my runs as she'll never get to the 15,000 max... JOKES: I'm already on enough to maintain my Diamond status for the year...
Popit Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 As per Cadenceblur's screen shot , I just clicked the link that said "Link to Strava".Seems to be the way to go .
Jigghead Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 As per Cadenceblur's screen shot , I just clicked the link that said "Link to Strava".Seems to be the way to go . It is, just remember that the info sent to Strava is pretty much instant so if you're in the habit of naming your workouts, you'll need to name them in Garmin Connect as well as Strava. It's too quick to carry the naming in Garmin over. This is if you get Garmin Connect to send to Discovery and Strava, it looks like that screen shot is from Discovery?
cadenceblur Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Yes, it's from Discovery. But, you have the option of editing the workout name before saving it on Strava
HowardSteele Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Firefox is the only site that actually works despite enabling and assigning sites on google and IE.Also when you record the activity have submitted...go back to the display table..it wont show immediately click the side arrow to go back a week and then back to present week.sometimes you got to do this 2-3 times.this is my second year of recording my exercise and have reached my max this year already.
