Dial'd Bikes....

This is more of a concern at the moment than a rant, I just am looking for an answer or if anyone else has experienced similar?

I have dealt with Andrew from Diald bikes on numerous occasions and all with great service. But 2 weeks ago I ordered some 661 pads and piggy backed on a mates order so we got the free shipping deal. Now we ordered the wrong size and to change these pads is becoming a complete mess.

Over two weeks has passed and no return has happened. He told us to get in contact with a dealer up here in Jhb and contacting/organising with this guy is next to impossible. These pads are kind of vital at the moment and I am getting rather impatient...

Has anyone ever returned goods to diald bikes?

(I have returned goods to both Buycycle and CWC and all was sorted within a week)

Not really any help but wondering how this will work. I was also going to buy pads from dialed but was unsure of size.

If it is the wrong size who pays for return shipping and then the shipping of the new set?

Aren't the pads now 'open'now and can't be sold as new anymore?

You. If you buy the wrong size, it's your error.

Which is why it's important to get your sizing right. Most pad manufacturers have sizing guides on their websites, so make use of them before buying.

For sure, I agree.

And the second part? Can't the bike shop (dialed or cwc, whoever) decline to take them back as they have been opened or worn and the next buyer might not be so thrilled.

Luckily I found a great deal on Fox Enduro pads for cheap but this question is more in general for all clothing and online shopping.

If you're a retailer, you're obliged to accept returns for items i THINK up to 7 days / 14 days as long as they're in their original packaging. Moral of the story - DON'T RIP THE BOX!!!

Dude, I opened the bag, put the the pads on, they never fit, put them back in the bag, emailed Dial'd. They are practically new. Now on their site they do say they take returns. So it is confirmed, that is not the discussion at the moment. The discussion is the process.

As for returning, yeah dealers know when you buy online there is a risk, hence why they offer return options (it's called good service) and if you do it then you get a repeat customer.

O... and by the way we emailed them before the purchase and asked for advice on sizing and they advised a medium (based on height, weight, and build)

I am not ranting at them here, I like them, I will buy again. I was just looking for a solution.

El Capitain provided that solution so thank you :)

Hey guys.

We don't like to jump in on posts like these in a 'Hello Peter' corporate-style but we're avid Hubbers and couldn't help notice this post.

We sprung into action as soon as we saw Alien8's post yesterday after learning that our original plans for a quick return weren't working as such. We have made contact with all parties and can happily say that the replacement pads are on their way.

As you all know, we pride ourselves in bringing in great products, providing even better service and providing much needed support to the gravity aspects of cycling in SA. We understand the challenges of online shopping as well as you do and that's why we have adopted the following returns policy since day one:

- Unwashed, unworn and unused products may be returned within 30 days after purchase for an exchange or credit.

- The product may not be damaged, scratched, dirty or even slightly used as it will not be accepted as a re-saleable.

- Returned products must include the original packaging material and tags.

- We will refund shipping charges if we sent the wrong item or the item sent was defective.

- We do not do refunds for special order items.

- If you are making an exchange because you would like a different size, style or colour, we will happily accept the return but the shipping charge will be for your own account.

Thanks for all the support, guys.

Within hours of making this post Andrew contacted me. Was extremely polite and understanding and assured me that all in order and apologised for the inconvenience (which I said was not needed).

To the guys at Dial'd bikes, I always knew you were great and will always support you because of the service.

Thanks again!

Minor hijack... can't seem to get onto Diald's website?

Site server is down. Will let you know as soon as it's up and running.

We're back online!

Thanks for the heads up, guys.
