Guys I need your help.

I try to buy dogma K 2014 online, and seller has sent me pics of this bike.

Can you take a look on pics that seller sent to me because I still doubt.

1 picture - set eyes on bottom bracket, I had never seen before something like that on Dogma’s

2 picture - there is no PINA under red logo P on seat tube. But we can see PINA on pictures from Pinarello’s catalog 2014. Аnd the inscription «Pinarello» on a red feather made with white font, instead the dark font in catalogs. And it had a lot of space between the letters..

3. I did’nt see the sticker Made in Taiwan

4. There is serial number and dealer said me that's original. But paintjob..

So is it false frame or genuine? I don’t want to buy counterfeit.

Why not send the serial number to ASG(South Africa) or Pinarello themselves. That would settle it. ASG was really quick about helping me out with my retro Pina.

Do some googling, but from my understanding the biggest tell tail sign is the seat tube. The earlier fakes had a round seat tube. This one has a round seat tube. This is probably a fake. Just out of interest what is the selling price. It looks to be in a stunning condition.

I had some things to say, but when Pinarellos own website contradicts itself its pretty difficult to figure out. Just contact ASG rather and ask them.

If you're asking then it's probably too cheap which concerns you. If it's too cheap and you need to ask then it's probably fake.

Dogma K has a round seat post and clamp for front derailleur. Ask for original invoice, and have the serial number authenticated with ASG. I will be sceptical too.

Thank you for your help guys. I sent the letter to ASG, I will wait their answer. The price for this bike is about $3500, seller told me it's gray import and the bike is new.

Here I uploaded more pics please take a look for more opinions.  http://s1056.photobucket.com/user/Timur_Sadykov/library/Pinarello%20Dogma%20K%202014?sort=3&page=1

BTW I called to USA authorised reseller Pinarello and they told me the serial number is correct and it's genuine Pinarello frame...

something not adding up for me ....  why on earth are you risking buying a frame from the US ?

Just I want good bike for good price :(

Remember to add 14% vat, 15% duty and shipping to that figure.

Plus, I'd rather buy a top spec 2nd hand local road bike than get one from the states from a person you can't verify or meet or anything. Not quite like buying from a person in jhb if you're in CT cos if you're unsure someone on the forum could go verify for you.

That's R 55k at current exchange rates EXCLUDING shipping, when factoring VAT and duties

Add shipping of, say, $ 400 or so, and you're at 60k. Which will buy you a killer bike right here.
